ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE

All homes that are constructed in the Cottonwoods must be presented to and approved by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). The ARC is composed of an independently hired Architect and Engineer who ensure all homes are designed according to the CC&R's. The review committee review submittals digitally.

Items Required for review
  • ​$1700 Review fee* & deposit. $1200 is eligible for a refund once the home and landscaping are complete and verified for compliance with approved plans. You can drop the check off at the Water Company office during their regular business hours or you can mail it to
    • ATTN: ARC Review
    • 4032 W 5800 N Unit #4 Mountain Green, UT 84050. This is the Secondary  Water Office. The ARC will not stamp your plan until the deposit is received.
    • Check is made payable to Cottonwoods ARC
  • Engineer stamped drawings in PDF format, including a site plan, elevation, and floor plans. If the plans are approved, the ARC will digitally sign your plans. This set must be emailed to Morgan County for a permit. More details here. You can email your drawings to  [email protected]
  • Colors of all exterior materials. The easiest method for proposing colors is to submit photographs of other homes with the same colors and finishes. Color swatch numbers can also be submitted. We need colors for the Stone/Brick, Hardie, stucco, soffit/fascia, shingles, trim colors.
  • A landscaping and fencing plan. (example plan)
  • If you are constructing your home on a restricted lot (marked with an "R" on the recorded plat or with marked with a hatch/crosshatch) you need to submit the geotechnical & geological report specific to your home and site. CMT Labratories in Ogden can help you with the requirements.
