Morgan County and Gardner Development have worked diligently to ensure The Cottonwoods will remain exclusively residential. No commercial development will be allowed within the Cottonwoods to ensure that the community retains its rural charm, picturesque appeal and uncluttered view corridors. Upon completion of our phases of build out, the Cottonwoods at Mountain Green will feature only residential homes, schools, churches and parks.

Gardner Development has joined forces with Wilkinson Water Company to improve the entire Mountain Green community's water system.

As part of the development of the Cottonwoods, Gardner Development will be adding wells, storage tanks and a secondary water reservoir system. This will allow residences to maintain the larger lots' landscaping without using valuable culinary water. Today's development is not only placing underground sewer, culinary and storm drain lines, but also running irrigation lines for the secondary system.  It's vision with a purpose -- conserving our most valuable commodity.

The Cottonwoods at Mountain Green will be developed in phases over the next several years with each phase progressing a little further up the hillside of Durst Mountain.

Construction Schedule

Phase One & Two: Construction of the roads and infrastructure are complete.
