Outdoor Amenities 
Roughly 50% of the Cottonwoods at Mountain Green is dedicated as open space. Primary trails will run through the open space areas and then branch into secondary trails leading to parks, the school, wooded areas, nature reserves, scenic vistas, and the new reservoir and holding lake. Parks are being planned for each of the phases, including small neighborhood pocket parks to compliment the homes as well as larger recreation parks with pavilions & playgrounds.

Snowbasin ski resort, one of the greatest skiing destinations in the country, is just a few minutes drive from Mountain Green. The resort underwent significant renovations in the summer of 2000 and boasts some of the best terrain for skiers and boarders of all levels.    

Also within a short drive is the Pineview Reservoir. It's sandy beaches and clear water make it an ideal location for boating, fishing, windsurfing, water skiing, camping and, in the winter months, ice fishing. 

Big on snowmobiling?  Monte Cristo Snowmobile Complex and Hardware Ranch are some of northern Utah’s unique recreational treasures. Well-groomed snowmobile trails wind through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest providing snowmobiling opportunities that are consistently included in lists of the west’s top riding areas. Hardware Ranch is a wintering ground for one of Utah’s premier elk herds. With more than 180 groomed trails, you'll experience a ride of a lifetime.
